The 2019 Annual Conference returns to one of our favourite venues, the Park Hyatt Hotel, Melbourne for another year.
This is the second time we have held a Conference at the beautiful Park Hyatt Hotel. It is located just behind the Victorian Parliament, a few minutes’ walk to all the shopping, restaurants and great night life of Melbourne. The Hotel’s facilities and accommodation are truly five star and delegates will experience the very best that Melbourne has to offer.
The theme for this year's Annual Conference is: It's Time to TRANSFORM: Strengthening Diversity and Inclusion for future success.
We will be treated to a special Keynote Address on Monday morning by Anh Do!
Anh Do is a Vietnamese-born Australian author, comedian and artist. His first book, The Happiest Refugee won Australian Biography of the Year in 2011 and his Weir Do children’s book series have been national best sellers.
Anh has appeared on many Australian TV Shows and has his own show, Anh Do’s Brush with Fame on ABC 1. In 2014, Anh was a finalist in The Archibald Prize. His journey from starving refugee to become one of Australia’s most loved artists and comedians is inspiring, funny and uplifting.
The Conference presents the strongest line up of Speakers and Workshop Presenters ever seen together to delve into the theme of the Conference: Diversity and Inclusion.
From the CEO of the Diversity Council of Australia, Lisa Annese, the CEO of Reconciliation Australia, Karen Mundine, the CEO of Disability Employment Australia, Rick Kane to the President of the Australian Human Rights Commission, Professor Rosalind Croucher, delegates will gain incredible insights, understanding and information on the opportunities and challenges for clubs in developing a comprehensive approach to diversity and inclusion.
Bringing the whole show together and keeping everyone on track is our returning MC, Darren Carr, one of the funniest men in Australia!
The Annual Conference is the premier event for the RSL & Services Clubs Association, with our AGM held on Monday afternoon at 3.30pm. The Conference is a very important opportunity for Club Directors and senior management to share their experiences, ideas, challenges & concerns and to learn of the latest developments and opportunities for our sector of the club industry.
ALL member clubs should try to send representatives to this Conference and AGM to gain valuable insights and ideas for your venues.
As part of the Annual Conference, the 2019 "Spirit of Anzac Awards" will be awarded during the Conference Dinner. This event is the highlight of the year and in one of the most spectacular venues available!
The Association would like to welcome our Principal Conference Partner MAX and also thank the ongoing support of Lion Beers Australia, De Bortoli Wines, Coca Cola, Russell Corporate Advisory, TAB, Club Plus Super, My Club Cafe, Thomson Geer Lawyers, PHaT Sourcing and Daily Press.
The Association again looks forward to your support in attending what is regarded as one of the premier conferences of the club year.
