Speakers at the conference included Major General Jim Molan, one of Australia’s finest modern military leaders who retired in 2008 after 40 years services across a broad range of commands and staff appointments in operations, training and military diplomacy. He addressed delegates on Leadership in the modern era.

Other key speakers included Vietnam veteran, Dr Michael Hewitt-Gleeson, co-founder and Principal of the School of Thinking and an international consultant on strategy to a veritable Who’s Who of the world’s movers and shakers in business; the new National President of the RSL, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan; and Brett Rutledge, considered by many to be one of the most original and entertaining business thinkers of his generation.

Topics on the program included the power of facebook and twitter to your business; the outcome of the Productivity Commission inquiry into gambling; club catering; avoiding the corporate governance minefield as a result of several recent high profile cases; the new industrial relations regime and the changing face of superannuation.
