The Mid-West Food, Design & Gaming Experience 2016 Itinerary

This Tour will examine building, internal design & layout features, food and restaurant aspects including lectures and back of house tours by chefs and F&B Managers, as well as detailed Casino and Gaming operations and tours. The program will suit F&B Managers, Gaming Managers and Operations Managers, as well as CEOs and Club Directors.

Monday 16th May 2016 – Sydney To Dallas – The Ritz Carlton
FLIGHT - From: Sydney to Dallas Forth Worth Departs: 1:00 pm Arrives 1:35 pm
On arrival in Dallas met by private coach and transferred to your hotel - THE RITZ CARLTON DALLAS.

Located in the upscale Uptown adjacent to downtown with lots of restaurants, shopping and more. The hotel has won awards for both the hotel and restaurant. Dallas is also renowned for regional Mexican cantinas such as El Bolero, Le Taco Cantina and Sugar Skull Café – so get some sleep on the plane and be ready to eat out!

Wednesday 18th May – Dallas to Durant – Durant Casino
This morning you will board your private tour bus to visit three Native American Casinos.

Tribal Organisation: Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma

Featuring 519,000 square feet, 7,200 electronic games, 46 table poker rooms, 76 table games, Race’s Off –Track Betting, High Limit Room, Keno and Bingo. Restaurants including Toby Keith’s I Love this Bar and Grill, Palladium Sports Lounge, Gran Via Buffet, The Grill, Red River Grill, El Fenix, NYC Burgers & Dogs, Chips ‘N Ales, Capisce Ristorante Italiano, Le Paris Bakery and Cafe.
Entertainment: 3,500 seat Global Event Centre is home to attractions with world famous names such as Jay Leno, Vince Gill, ZZ Top, Maroon 5, Kid Rock and Tony Bennett.

Tribal Organisation: Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma

Featuring 68,235 square feet, 8 Gaming Tables, 1200 slot Machines, VIP Poker room – 7 tables. Restaurants: Firehouse Grill Buffett, The River Bar and Grill. Entertainment: Choctaw Event Centre, Live entertainment concerts, 1,000 seats, 10,800 square feet.

Featuring: 110,00 square foot facility, 4,500 slot machines, Bingo, 30 private tables, 38 table games including Three Card Poker, Let it Ride, Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold’Em, Pai Gow Poker, Mini Baccarat, Roulette, Off-Track Betting.
Restaurants: 1832 Steakhouse, Americo’s, Blue Moon Cafe, Butterfields Buffet, Durant Station Deli, Jackpot Java, Salt Like Bar-B-Que. Entertainment: Choctaw Event Centre, Centrestage, Diamondback Lounge, Amphitheatre.

Thursday 19th May – Durant to Tulsa – The Ambassador Hotel
Board your private coach and sit back and relax for your journey to Tulsa for 2 casino visits before your overnight stay at the Ambassador Hotel.

Featuring: 300,000 square feet, $195 million casino, 2,600 high-tech gaming machines, 23 table games, 15 poker tables.

Entertainment: River Spirit Event Centre, Mystic River Lounge.

Tribal Organisation: Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino opened in August 2009. It was formerly the Cherokee Casino Resort. In September 2012 it was named “Tribal Destination of the Year” by the American Indian and Alaska Native Tourism Association.
Featuring: 147,000 square foot casino floor, 2,000 electronic gaming machines, 75 table games and Poker room.
Restaurants: Buffet – Mexican, Asian, BBQ, Italian and American, McGill’s on 19, Toby Keith’s I love this Bar & Grill, Lyrics.
Entertainment: The Joint – 45,000 square feet entertainment venue with amphitheatre seating, C:Note – jazz, Cabin Creek – country nightclub, Center Bar, Friction – nightclub, Replay – sports media bar with 57 TVs, Side Bar.

Following the casino inspection you will check into the hotel where you will be staying for one night.

The Ambassador Hotel is Tulsa’s luxury boutique hotel, located minutes away from dining and shopping as well as the energy of downtown Tulsa and its many art and entertainment districts. The Ambassador also boasts one of Tulsa’s oldest and finest dining establishments, The Chalkboard Restaurant. The award winning Chalkboard is on the lower level of the hotel and provides upscale cuisine for guests as well as locals. Dinner at Chalkboard and recommendations provided for bars to visit afterwards!

Friday 20th May 2016 – Tulsa to Chicago – The Langham Chicago

Private coach transfer to the airport and to your hotel on arrival.
