An interactive learning experience for the CEO/Club Secretary, Club Board and Club Managers that meets the current requirements for mandatory training.
As a registered training organisation, Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club (trading as CHP School of Hospitality) is approved by the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing and Australian Skills Quality Authority to deliver mandatory director and club manager training.
This course is a one-day interactive workshop designed to enhance your club governance knowledge whilst engaging with fellow board members and senior management.
Also available via correspondence, this method offers the flexibility to self-pace your study at home with the help and support of a qualified trainer.
For group bookings we can provide a trainer to conduct the program at a suitable date and location for you.
Award: On successful completion of the training a Statement of Attainment will be awarded in the following 3 Governance Units as stated in the OLGR regulations:
– Implement Board Member Responsibilities
Skills and knowledge required to undertake the diverse roles and responsibilities required of a Board member.
– Work within Organisational Structure
Skills and knowledge required to be an active participant in the governance activities of a Board, with an understanding of the roles and relationships to other roles on the Board and within the organisation.
– Analyse Financial Reports and Budgets
Skills and knowledge required to analyse financial reports and budgets as a member of a Board of governance of an organisation.

CHP School of Hospitality is a Sydney based Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which was established by Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club in 1999 to provide a relevant resource to the community.
We deliver Nationally Recognised Training in hospitality and business training outcomes for those wishing to either launch a new career, or develop an existing career.
For over 15 years we have enjoyed an excellent reputation as an innovative centre for quality education outcomes.
WHAT WE OFFER
In addition to online training, distance education (paper-based), workshops, short courses and full-length qualification and traineeship training, CHP School of Hospitality also offers Club - customised training and recognition services for the registered clubs industry.
We also have a proud history of providing subsidised training to local school students in Cert II in Hospitality, Cafe, RSA and RCG courses.
Accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority to deliver Nationally Recognised Training. We are also recognised by NSW OLGR and NSW Food Authority as approved providers of mandatory training for the Clubs industry. RTO National Code 6871
