Honour Our Heroes Relay Walk 2017

We need you for the 2nd Annual 'Honour Our Heroes' Relay Walk!

10.00am - 2:00pm, Sunday 28th May 2017 at Parramatta Park

On Sunday 28th May, the Association, through the Veterans Benevolent Fund, is holding the second annual “Honour Our Heroes” Relay Walk that will be held at Parramatta Park. It will comprise of a 42 km Relay, involving 14 circuits of the Park, each 3 km long. The Walk is to honour the 42 Australian men who gave their lives in Afghanistan.

Last year we achieved 554 walker registrations, participating in 60 teams! All up, over 2,500 km's of Parramatta Park was walked and this year we hope to double the number of walkers and teams.

The 'Honour Our Heroes' Relay Walk can’t happen without the support from clubs and their staff, corporate partners, businesses, companies, Defence Establishments and community groups as well as the general public. We are asking each team who register for the Relay to raise donations per team from friends, work colleagues, club patrons and family members towards our goal of raising $100,000. You can have up to 14 people in your team and you can bring your dog too!

Join a team or register as an individual participant and encourage your family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues to make a donation to support your efforts!  Or you can give a generous donation towards a person who is walking in the Relay Walk.

Registration Fees:

$40 Individual Registration

$100 Family Registration, 2 x adults + unlimited kids

There will be a full day’s entertainment, prize draws, food stalls, coffee, information booths and activities for the kids whilst team members each complete their 3km leg of the Relay. Bring a picnic rug, a chair and even a marque for your team so everyone can enjoy a family fun day in the park!

Please come to Parramatta Park on Sunday 28th May to honour these Australian Heroes, to participate in the Walk and show your support for Australian Veterans. All monies raised will go directly to the “Homes For Heroes” service, saving lives and supporting Vets in need.
