RSL & Services Clubs Association / Fire & Rescue Service NSW Partnership
A Community Partnership Agreement has been signed which commits RSL & Services Clubs Association and Fire & Rescue NSW (FRNSW) to work together in order to strengthen fire safety awareness among club and sub-branch members, veterans, and the wider community who patron RSL & Services Clubs in NSW.

The goals of this partnership are to:
• Extend understanding among club and sub-branch members, veterans, and the wider community of fire safety and prevention methods.
• Provide advice to club and sub-branch members, veterans, and the wider community about the need for working smoke alarms; checking
battery functioning and advising about battery replacement.
• Enhance the impact of FRNSW Campaigns through promotional activities targeting club and sub-branch members, veterans, and the wider
community who patron RSL & Services Clubs in NSW.

The partnership will include:
• Development of a circular for club and sub-branch members to routinely check smoke alarms in elderly members’ homes and provide referral
  information on battery replacement.
• Targeted fire safety education programs for RSL and Services Clubs in areas of high risk across the state. FRNSW fire stations, where
available, will participate in programs for club and sub-branch members, and veterans.
• FRNSW campaigns will be promoted by RSL & Services Clubs Association through their communication channels in the weeks
  preceding and during the campaigns.
